Universal put my album out without my approval, Kanye West says

US rapper Kanye West claimed on Monday that Universal Music Group released his long-awaited album, “Donda,” on Sunday without his permission.

On his Instagram account, which he recently reactivated, West wrote: “Universal put my album out without my approval and they blocked ‘Jail 2’ from being on the album.”

‘Jail 2,’ however, is available to stream on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

The rapper’s new 27-track album has caught the interest of his fans across the world.

In just a few hours following the release, his songs “Hurricane,” “Jail,” “Off The Grid” and “Praise God” are among the top 10 most streamed songs on Apple Music.

“God Breathed,” “Ok Ok,” “Moon” and “Jonah” are ranked 11, 12, 14 and 15 respectively.

For “Donda,” West, who recently filed court documents to change his name to Ye, teamed up with singer and rappers including Jay-Z, Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Lil Durk, Young Thug, Baby Keem, Pusha T, Kid Cudi and more.
