The Delta State government has presented a letter of commendation, an award plaque, and a cheque of N2 million, to Mr. Ejiro Otarigho, a tanker driver, for his display of heroism
The driver was hailed as he drove a burning tanker away to a safe place in Agbarho, Ughelli North LGA.
Dateline Nigeria reports that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had earlier commended the bravery, courage, and professionalism of Mr Otarigho.

The Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, has resolved to bestow upon him an award for rare exhibition of bravery.
“The award shall be given to him at a date to be announced soon,” according to a statement on Wednesday by Bisi Kazeem, the Corps Public Education Officer.
