The Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Saad Abubakar has declared Monday 23/1/2023 as the first day of Rajab 1444 AH.
This is contained in a statement by the Secretary of the Sultanate’s Moon Sighting Committee (MSC) Yahaya M Boyi.
The sultanate had directed the Muslim Ummah in the country to start looking for the new crescent of Rajab 1444 AH on Sunday the 29th day of Jumada Assani 1444 AH, equivalent to 22th of January 2023
