Sheikh Qaribullah Kabara advises Buhari to rejig security chiefs

The leader of Qadiriyya Movement in Africa, Sheikh (Dr.) Qaribullahi Nasiru Kabara has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to rejig the security chiefs of the country.

He said this is in order to instill and afford fresh ideas to prevail and tackle the menace of incessant insecurity and banditry in some parts of the country, notably north ease, west and central as well as other parts of the country.

Sheikh Kabara made the advice penultimate weekend while addressing a mammoth gathering of Qadiriyya followers across Africa in Kano at the 70th Moulud celebration to commemorate the birth of the Sect founder, Sheikh Abdulqadir Aljilani.

The occasion has in attendance the representative of Mr. President, the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Sabo  Nanono, Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar and Emirs of Kano and Katagum, Aminu Ado Bayero and Umar Faruk II, respectively.

The spiritual leader expressed concerned for the snarl defeat and taming of the terrorists who easily sneak to ambush and punch on ordinary civilians resulting in massacre of people mercilessly without any religious or political cause – other than thirst for blood.

He was particularly concerned that almost ten years since the so-called insurgents’ ignominious debuts in the north-east and their earlier defeat by the country’s armed forces but regrettably re-appear and continue to unleash havoc on the lives and property of both government and private citizenry.

While condemning the inglorious but heartless actions of the terrorists and bandits that almost ravaged north-east, specifically Borno state and spreading rapidly to states of Zamfara, Katsina, Niger and Kaduna is nothing but derailment from the basic religious teachings.

He drew Mr. President’s attention that the perpetrators of the killings are neither genuine Muslims nor propagating religious cause as Islam forbids in toto, termination of innocent citizens’ life without recourse to constituted authority for adjudication of justice.

Sheikh Qaribullahi Kabara who is a holder of the prestigious Peace Ambassador title in Africa was of the opinion that rejigging the present security hierarchy will afford Mr. President ample opportunity to re-assess the performance of the current military heads.

The statement further clarified the fact that the advice for change of baton does not, in any way, portray the nation as ungrateful to the present crops of military chiefs, however, a call prompted by deep-rooted patriotism in line with Mr. President commitment to ensuring and restoring lasting security in all parts of the country.
