Rahama Sadau deletes photos, weeps in apology video

Nigerian actress Rahama Sadau has begged her family, friends and fans for forgiveness over the reactions that trailed her recent photos which she posted on social media.

She has also deleted the controversial photos from her twitter and Instagram accounts, checks by Dateline Nigeria reveal.

The controversy generated by the photos was worsened by comments considered blasphemous and defamatory to the person of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

Her apology is contained in a new video released by the actress in which she wept as she spoke.

Wearing a hijab and speaking in Hausa, Rahama Sadau said “Those who know me or follow me know that I will never do such thing deliberately. My attention was only drawn to it [referring to a blasphemous remarks made by some while commenting on the pictures].”

She as a Muslim she will never do anything deliberately to tarnish the image of the prophet or her religion.

Rahama Sadau’s apology is coming on the heels of condemnation by some Kannywood players who dissociated themselves from the pictures and the comments they generated.

The actress was in 2016 suspended by MOPPAN for hugging a singer by the name Classiq in a music video.
