The Governing Council, Federal University of Lafia in Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman as the new Vice Chancellor of the university.
A statement by Public Relations Officer of the university, Mallam Abubakar Ibrahim indicates that Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman emerges the best out of 43 candidates who contested for the position of the Vice Chancellor.
Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman is to succeed Professor Sanusi Liman whose tenure will expire on 10 of February 2021.
The statement also quotes Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia, Professor Munzali Jubril as calling on the new Vice Chancellor to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors towards taking the university to enviable heights.
Professor Shehu Abdur-Rahman, until his appointment as Vice Chancellor Federal University of Lafia was the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture in the university.
