Power minister to provide 330KV transformer for NTA Jalingo

The Minister of Power Engr. Sale Mamman fnse, has promised to provide a new 330kv transformer for the Nigerian Television Authority Jalingo to enhance their operations.

Receiving members of the Authority’s management team in Jalingo, the Minister stressed that the station needed adequate support to assist in coping with the challenges of covering the state.

This is contained in a statement by the minister’s media aide, Aaron Artimas, on Monday.

The Minister emphasized that being the most efficient broadcast media in the state, it was unacceptable to limit the station’s length of operations to only a few hours per day because of its problems.

Engr. Sale Mamman also promised to take up other challenges facing NTA Jalingo to the Minister of Information.

He reminded the station of the need to adequately highlight the Federal government’s activities especially its various empowerment programs so that Nigerians would appreciate the efforts of government in this difficult time.

“Nigerians are eager to know more about the Federal government’s efforts to ameliorate their hardships”, the Minister emphasized. He explained that without adequate information the people may not avail themselves of the government’s programs.

Earlier, the General manager of NTA Jalingo Mr Sabo Langaya briefed the Minister on some of the problems facing the station and requested his intervention. He pledged that NTA would continue to play its role as the major source of information on government activities.
