A new online newspaper 21st Century Chronicle (21stcenturychronicle.com) has formally taken off with veteran journalist Mahmud Jega as Editor in Chief.
Jega had earlier resigned as the Chairman of the Daily Trust Editorial Board and a columnist with the paper.
Nuruddeen M. Abdallah, a former investigations editor with Daily Trust, is the editor of the new platform.
This is contained in a letter introducing the news platform along with its parent company 21st Century Media Services.
“We intend to cover major areas of our national life and also serve exclusive content to our readers. We plan to publish a monthly magazine later this year,” the letter, signed by Jega, reads in part.
