The Grand Khadi, Sharia Court of Appeal, Kaduna State, Justice Shehu Ibrahim Ahmad has passed on, family sources inform Dateline Nigeria.
He died late Monday night and his funeral (janaza) held today by 10am, before he was buried at the Unguwar Sarki burial ground at 11am.
Born in Albarkawa, Zaria on October 2, 1958, the late Grand Khadi was called to the Nigerian Bar as Barrister/Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 1986.
He was on the lower bench as Magistrate from 1988-1993, before joining the Private Sector of the economy as Legal Officer in one
Commercial Bank from 1993-2000.
He was appointed as judge of the Higher Bench in the Kaduna State Judiciary in 2003 and served as Chief Registrar between 2000 and 2003.
