Jonathan mourns death of Kenya’s former president

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has condoled with the government and People of Kenya on the demise former President Daniel arap Moi.

Dateline Nigeria reports that Moi, who was Kenya’s second elected president, died at the age of 95.

Jonathan, who is attending the World Summit 2020 in Seoul, South Korea, expressed his condolence via a posting on his verified twitter handle on Wednesday.

“I condole with the Government and People of Kenya on the demise of their foremost leader and nationalist Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi who was the Country’s second elected president.

“He was a great African nationalist who will be remembered for service and love for his nation as well as the important roles he played towards Africa’s liberation.

“May God repose his soul in eternal peace and comfort his family and well-wishers,” Jonathan tweeted.
