Jonathan, Lawan, Atiku, EU chief mourn Abba Kyari

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of chief of staff Abba Kyari.

Jonathan, in a post shared via his twitter handle, also condoled with the Kyari family and all sympathisers on the demise of the chief of staff.

“May Allah grant him Al Jannah Firdaus and strengthen his family and friends during this moment of grief,” the former president tweeted.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan, in his condolence message, expressed his heartfelt condolence to Mallam Kyari’s family over the great loss.

Lawan also condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the loss of Mallam Kyari, who he described as a very competent, dedicated and loyal aide, who was a pillar in his administration.

He extended his heartfelt sympathy to the Government and people of Borno State over the passage of a great son of the state.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also express his condolences over the death of Abba Kyari.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am saddened by the death of Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. May Allah SWT comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Ameen,” he tweeted.

In his condolence message, EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Ketil Karlsen, said “Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Abba Kyari. My thoughts are with his family.

“He became a friend and was an inspiration with his passionate approach to development of Nigeria in general and the north in particular. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Ambassador Karlsen tweeted.
