- Former Gov Gaidam has done nothing
Former Governor of Yobe State Bukar Abba Ibrahim has said that he has not retired from active politics and will run for Senate in 2023.
Speaking in an interview with the Voice of America (VOA) Hausa service, Bukar said “I left the seat for former Governor Ibrahim Gaidam thinking he will do something, but unfortunately he has not done anything.”
Bukar represented Yobe East Senatorial District from June 2007 – June 2019.
The former lawmaker was governor of Yobe State from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He had also served as governor of the state from January 1992 to November 1993.
