Hajj: Deputy gov, Zazzau emir, others bid farewell to first batch of Kaduna pilgrims

Kaduna State Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, alongside the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Sani Liman and other senior officials were at the Kaduna International Airpot today to bid farewell to the first batch of 390 intending pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for the 2023 hajj.

The Deputy Governor addressed the pilgrims, urging them to be good ambassadors of Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.

She also advised them to obey Saudi Arabia’s laws and all regulations of the hajj and urged them to offer prayers for the new administration of Senator Uba Sani and for the peace and prosperity of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

The commencement of the airlift was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including the Emir of Zazzau, His Highness Ambassador Nuhu Ahmed Bamali, who is also the leader of Kaduna State delegation for the 2023 hajj exercise.

The Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu stated that 6,487 persons from Kaduna State will be performing this year’s hajj exercise, the highest number in the country.

He added that Kaduna State Government has made adequate arrangement for the welfare of the pilgrims in the holyland.
