Commander Guards Brigade charges newly promoted young officers to redouble efforts

The Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Aminu Umar has enjoined newly promoted Lieutenant recently promoted by the Nigerian Army to justify the trust reposed in them by redoubling their efforts to serve the nation more efficiently.

The Commander represented by the Chief of Staff Guards Brigade, Col Oludele Peter Oyegoke stated this during the decoration ceremony of the young officers held at the Brigade Auditorium, Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment Asokoro today 15 March 2023.

The Commander while congratulating the newly decorated officers reminded them that the system found them worthy and well deserving and as such should remain committed, dedicated and above all loyal to the constituted authority.

He also expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for considering the officers of Guards Brigade extraction worthy, assuring him that the Brigade would continue to live up to it’s expectations.

Also speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, Lieutenant Nwafor expressed gratitude to the almighty God for his blessings upon him and his colleagues while thanking the COAS for considering them worthy and deserving of the promotion to the rank of lieutenant.

He assured the gathering of senior officers of their readiness to carry out all assigned task to the best of their ability while also praying for all expecting promotions to also get theirs as at when due.

High point of the ceremony was the decoration of the promoted officers with their new rank badge and group photograph. The ceremony was well attended by Commanding Officers,Staff officers as well as personnel of Guards Brigade and family members of the decorated officers.
