CJN swears in eight new Supreme Court justices

Eight new justices of the Supreme Court have been sworn in in Abuja by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Muhammad Tanko.

The new justices include Justice Lawal Garba (North West); Justice Helen M. Ogunwumiju (South West); Justice Addu Aboki (North West); Justice I. M. M. Saulawa (North West); Justice Adamu Jauro (North Eas; Justice Samuel C. Oseji (South South); Justice Tijjani Abubakar (North East), and Justice Emmanuel A. Agim (South South).

In a congratulatory message, Gombe State Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya described the elevation of Justice Adamu Jauro to the apex court of the land as a well deserved one considering his wealth of experience both in the bar and the bench as well as his pedigree of hard work, discipline and selflessness.

He described Justice Jauro as a thorough bred and an outstanding jurist with track records of good character and intellect as well as impeccable footprints in the nation’s judiciary.
