Buhari’s aide Bashir Ahmad unveils bride, releases wedding invitation

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media Bashir Ahmad is set to marry his heartthrob Naeemah Junaid Bindawa.

Bashir Ahmad shared details of the upcoming wedding on his social media handles on Friday, exactly a week to the ceremony slated to hold in Katsina.

“The long-awaited day is finally here!
Naeemah Junaid Bindawa and I are delighted to invite you to our Wedding Fatiha on September 25th, 2020 at GRA Juma’at Mosque, Katsina. Time: 2PM.

“If you are unable to attend due to any personal circumstance, kindly include us in your prayers. Thank you. #NB2020,” he posted.

Dateline Nigeria recalls that the presidential aide had on January 1, 2020 shared a New Year message where he restated his love to Naeemah.

“Salam, Hajiya @Naeeemah_x the year (2019) in which I really loved you ended yesterday, and the year (2020) in which I will love you more has just begun. This love I have for you will never stop growing as long as there is a tomorrow. Get ready for lots of memories,” he had tweeted at the time.

That message drew lots of reactions, including from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Garba Shehu who asked Bashir to “just send us an invitation.”

Bashir replied by saying “Everything is getting ready, Mallam. And definitely you’re among those who will invite people not those who will be invited. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼”

Sources told Dateline Nigeria that the wedding was supposef to have taken place since but was delayed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
