Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress has lost Orhionmwon local government area to governor Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party.
Obaseki polled 13,445 to defeat Ize-Iyamu who got a total of 10,458 votes in his local government.
Based on the result declared, Obaseki leads with a margin of 2,287 votes.
Dateline has earlier reported that Obaseki is leading in 11 out of the 16 delared local governments, with Ize-Iyamu winning five local government.
With only Ovia South West local government remaining, Obaseki leads with a total of 100,938 votes.
