The wedding between Aliyu, a son of former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Fatima, a daughter of former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Nuhu Ribadu has brought together political rivals under the same roof.
Aliyu Atiku, a grandson of late Lamido Adamawa Aliyu Musdafa, holds the traditional title of Turaki Adamawa, while Fatima Ribadu is the granddaughter of Senator Iya Abubakar.
The well-atrended wedding took place today at Ribadu’s Abuja residence.
Some of the personalities at the event, which had Atiku and Ribadu physically present, included the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Boka Tinubu, and suspended EFCC boss Ibrahim Magu
Also in attendance were Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya, and Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Others are former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, former Sokoto State Governor Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and former Governor of Gombe State Ibrahim Dankwambo.
Another former Governor of Gombe State Danjuma Goje, who got married to Amina Dahiru Chiroma on Friday, was also in attendance.
