TCN boss bags honorary doctorate from European American University

The Acting Managing Director Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Mr Sule Abdulaziz has been awarded the prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science (D.Sc.) in Engineering and Projects Management.

The degree was awarded by the European American University, Commonwealth of Dominica.

Mrs Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s General Manager, Public Affairs made this known in a statement in Abuja on Sunday.

Mbah said the award was conferred on Abdulaziz who is also the Chairman of the Executive Board of West African Power Pool (WAAP) on July 8th in Abuja.

The President of European America University, Prof. John Kersey was represented by Dr. Luke Okojie, an international partner to the university at the conferment ceremony.

Kersey noted that Abdulaziz was singled out for the prestigious award for his exemplary contributions to the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) and his role in WAPP.

The TCN boss  dedicated the award to the management and staff of the company, noting that his contributions to NESI were made possible by his career in TCN.

”And the collective support from all TCN staff,“ he said.

He appreciated the support demonstrated by the European American University.

He also gave the assurance that he would be more diligent in the pursuit of a more efficient and robust transmission grid. (NAN)
