Stop intimidating our members to join APC, Northern PDP govs tell Buhari’s govt

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors in the Northern part of the country have told the All Progressives Congress, APC led administration to stop intimidating their members into joining the party.

They stated this shortly after a meeting of the forum held at the Taraba State Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.

Briefing newsmen, Taraba State Governor, Architech Darius Ishiaku said all the Governors of the PDP who have joined APC in recent times did so because of intimidation.

While expressing dissatisfaction with the kind of leadership being provided by the APC, Architect Ishiaku called on the party to desist from intimidating their members and focus on serving the people.

The Taraba State Governor observed that the Northern part of the country which is currently controlling the federal government has nothing to show in terms of development, saying that instead, the region is being shortchanged by the APC led Government.

He but gave assurance that PDP Governors would continue to serve the people.

The Governors who attended the meeting were, Darius Ishiaku of Taraba, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, Bala Muhammed of Bauchi and Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa.
