Shettima visits Sheikh Jingir, joins Wase to meet stakeholders in Jos
Vice President-elect, Senator Kashim Shettima paid a thank you visit to the National Chairman, Council of Ulama, Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’ah Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir at his Jos residence earlier today.
He was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Idris Wase, Senators Sa’idu Ahmed Alkali (Gombe North), Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia (Jigawa North East), Member House of Representatives, Shehu Saleh (Rijau/Magama Federal constituency), amongst others.
The VP- elect was on a thank you visit to the Islamic cleric who had earlier endorsed the candidature of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima in the just concluded Presidential election.
Sen. Shettima later joined Rt. Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, for a meeting with various stakeholders at his residence.
Shettima in his remarks at the meeting pledged to ensure unity, fairness and justice amongst the populace.
He said he would support the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in doing away with the nation’s fault lines and forging a country where peace, unity and respect for the sanctity of human lives and rule of law will be topmost across the country.
