Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasir Kabara seeks for forgiveness

Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara has asked for forgiveness after withdrawing his comments on Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which many scholars viewed as blasphemy.

Abduljabbar spoke in a second audio message he distributed on Sunday.

“I withdraw the words I uttered concerning the Messenger which generated controversy,” he said.

In a previous audio, Abduljabbar had sought for forgiveness from those who considered him the author of the controversial comments.

“If the controversial comments are mine, not from the books, then this is a grievous offence and it is incumbent upon me to seek for forgiveness immediately.

“But if the comments are not mine, but from the books I mentioned, then it is something else entirely. We should therefore pray to Almighty Allah to guide us towards helping our religion, to remove the false narratives (hadith), so that they don’t destroy our religion.”

According to reports, Sheikh Abduljabbar sought for forgiveness after some of his students urged him to do so.
