The Shehu Dikwa, Borno State, Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Shehu Masta II Al-Amin El-Kanemi, has died after a protracted illness.
His death was announced on Saturday in a statement by the Secretary to State Government, Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa in Biu.
The announcement was made shortly after presentation of Staff of Office to the Emir of Biu, Alhaji Mai Mustapha Umar Mustapha, by Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.
The Borno SSG said burial of the deceased monarch will hold in Maiduguri on Saturday at 5pm.
