‘Senior Boko Haram kingpin relocating from Sambisa to Abuja-Kaduna highway’

A senior Boko Haram fighter, simply identified as Ibrahim (FNU), alongside his foot soldiers are relocating from “Sambisa Forest in Borno State to Rijana Forest in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.”

Rijana, a community on the Abuja-Kaduna highway, has been notorious for kidnappings.

This is contained a memo sighted by Dateline Nigeria which was addressed to the zonal commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Gombe, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Taraba and Jigawa states.

The memo said Ibrahim and his foot soldiers were relocating with a view to “joining their counterpart under the leadership of one Adamu Yunusa (aka Saddiqu).

“In light of the above, you are hereby directed to step up surveillance and intelligence gathering on the aforementioned areas and environs. Similarly, operatives should be place on alert and report accordingly,” the letter, which emanated from the Intelligence/Investigation unit, said.
