Sanusi missing as Grand Leader of Tijjaniyya Sheikh Mahi Nyass visits Buhari

The Grand World Leader (Caliphatul Arrm) of Dhariqa Tijjaniyya Sheikh Muhammadul Mahi Nyass has paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sheikh Mahi Nyass was accompanied by Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi on the visit on Friday.

Dateline Nigeria reports that former Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II was visibly missing on the entourage.

Sanusi’s purported appointment as the Khalifa of Tijjaniyya in Nigeria was debunked by Sheikh Mahi Nyass, saying the installation of Nigeria and African leadership of Dhariqa Tijjaniyya (Calipha) has to be subjected to nomination, and scrutiny by scholars in Nigeria and Senegal.

‘’Such decisions have to be discussed at different fora, agreement must be reached before the announcement. After nomination by leaders, a letter of credence endorsed by group of scholars, duly signed and stamped by Grand World Leader (Caliphatul Arrm) must be presented to the person appointed,’’ Nyass said.

Sheikh Nyass had earlier visited Sokoto, Zamfara and Kano states among others.
