The wedding between Bashir, a son of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Halima, a daughter of Vice Chairman Nortt West of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ibrahim Kazaure brought together personalities from different political parties.
At the event, which took place at Ministers Quarters in Mabushi, Abuja were former Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, his predecessor Bukola Saraki, Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar and his predecessor Sule Lamido.
The National Chairman of the PDP Uche Secondus and his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart Mai Mala Buni, his predecessor Adams Oshiomhole, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, and Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal were also in attendance.
Former Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr Isa Ali Pantami, his Science and Technology counterpart Ogbonnaya Onu, and pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Malam Nuhu Ribadu were also there.
Former Governors Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Senator Adamu Aliero (Kebbi) were also in attendance. There were also many serving and former lawmakers at both federal and state levels including Senator Uba Sani.
