Movement has been halted on the ever-busy Kaduna-Abuja highway as residents of Gonin Gora took to the street to protest rising cases of kidnapping in the area.
Gonin Gora is in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Recently, four people were reportedly abducted by bandits from their residences in Ungwan Auta.
The protesters vowed to remain on the road until they are addressed by Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who presented the figures during the state was not immediately available for comment.
