The House of Representatives has honoured the head of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari for his efforts at curbing insecurity, especially kidnapping.
Kyari was honoured on Thursday following a motion on Tuesday by Ahmed Jaha (APC, Borno).
The Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, who decorated Kyari, commended him for his courageous exploits.
He added that the recognition is in line with the 9th Assembly’s legislative agenda of recognising Nigerians who distinguished themselves in various fields towards achieving greatness for the country.
Kyari was decorated as part of activities celebrating the one year anniversary of the 9th assembly.
