Report to NAHCON clinics in Madinah, Nigerian pilgrims with underlying sickness urged

The National Medical Team of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, has called on Nigerian pilgrims who have some underlying sicknesses to report to any of NAHCON’s clinics on arrival in Madinah for check up, assessment and proper medical guidance.

Head of the Team, Dr. Usman Galadima made the call while explaining the preparedness of the members of the team to attend to pilgrims who might require medical attention either on arrival, or during their entire period of stay in the holy land.

He said it was necessary for pilgrims with such illnesses, like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and other vital organs problems to report to the clinics immediately they arrived to avoid complications.

However, he advised the pilgrims going to the clinics to go along with their Visa sheets for ease of reference, computation, records and for referrals to Saudi hospitals where and when necessary, saying without the Visa sheets pilgrims would not be attended to for free.

Dr. Galadima said in view of the harsh weather conditions in the Kingdom, pilgrims should avoid loitering in the sun to guard themselves against dehydration, sun and heat strokes.

Presently, he said the weather condition is hovering around fifty digress Celsius.
