Presidency confirms killing of State House assistant director

An Assistant Director of Administration at the State House, Laetitia Dagan, has been killed at her residence in Abuja, the presidency has confirmed.

Dagan was killed around 11pm on Monday, a statement by a Deputy Director of Information at the State House Attah Esa said.

The circumstances surrounding Daga’s death remain hazy as the presidency’s statement was silent on that.

Attempts to reach the FCT Police Command were also unsuccessful up to the time of filing this report.

The Permanent Secretary at the State House, Jalal Arabi, has condoled with the family and colleagues of the late assistant director.

Her death is “a painful loss, not only to her immediate family, but also the entire State House,” Arabi was quoted as saying in the statement by Esa.

“She was a dedicated, hard-working officer, and we all feel pained by her dastardly and untimely death,” Arabi reportedly told her family during a condolence visit.

“We all share in your grief and pains, but be consoled by the fact that she lived a good life and contributed her best to the services of her nation.”

He expressed confidence that the police will fish out and prosecute Dagan’s killers.

The late Dagan hailed from Plateau State.
