Power minister inaugurates eight solar projects in Adamawa

Minister of Power Engr Sale Mamman on Friday inaugurated eight solar system projects in four local government areas of Adamawa Sate.

The minister, who was joined by Adama State Governor Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri to inaugurates the projects, described it as “another milestone in our selfless effort to provide more Nigerians with power supply.”

“I’m particularly pleased that the projects were critically selected to serve health and education facilities as follows: 78kW in Maiha Cottage Hospital; 78kW in Gulak Cottage Hospital; 104kW in Garkida Hospital; and 104kW in Michika General Hospital.

“Others are 104kW in Mubi General Hospital; 208kW in College of Health Technology, Mubi; 36kW in Michika Maternity Hospital and 36kW in PHC Ga’anda.”

Mamman commended Governor Fintiri “for all the support and cooperation given to this partnership and other Federal Government programs. Also, our deep appreciation goes to his Excellency the Head of cooperation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS.”

He called on the beneficiary communities to protect “this investment and support the Hospital management to achieve maximum benefits from them.”
