Police recover 5 stolen vehicles, arrest notorious suspects

In continuation of a case of suspected Motor Vehicles theft, where one Odinaka Godwin, ‘m’, 43 years old, of Katsina State, was arrested in possession of nine pairs of Motor Vehicles number plates at Kofar Sauri Quarters, Katsina LGA, Katsina State, two notorious receivers of stolen Motor Vehicles, one Usman Mohammed, ‘m’, aged 37 years old and Suleiman Jibrin, ‘m’, aged 30 years old, all of Katsina were arrested.

Five suspected stolen Motor Vehicles were recovered from them as follows:-

i. PONTIAC Vibe Motor Vehicle, Grey in color with Registration Number JJJ-396 DN, Lagos.
ii. Toyota Camry LE Motor Vehicle, Golden color with Registration Number ADK-885 AE, Ekiti.
iii. Honda Civic Motor Vehicle, Green in color without Registration Number.
iv. Toyota Camry LE Motor Vehicle, Ash in color without Registration Number.
v. Toyota RAV4 Motor Vehicle, Black in color with Registration Number APP-35 BP, Lagos.

Suspects confessed to having specialized in receiving and selling stolen Motor Vehicles in Plateau, Kano, and the Katsina States. The discreet investigation is in progress after which suspects will be charged to court for prosecution.

Anyone whose Motor Vehicle was stolen and discovered above should report it at the PPRO office, Bompai Police Headquarters Kano, or contact 08168629521, 08105359575. Also, whoever identifies the number plate of his/her stolen Motor Vehicle below, should contact the above office/contact.

The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, reiterates that criminals will have no hiding place in Kano State. They are advised to either repent or leave the State completely. Otherwise, they will be arrested and face the full wrath of the law. He thanked the good people of Kano State for their prayers, encouragement, continuous support, and cooperation.

He urged residents to continue to pray for the State, the Nation and report incidences to the nearest Police Station, and not take laws into their hands. Rigorous patrol and raids of criminal hideouts and black spots will continue throughout the State, as the Command will sustain the ongoing “Operation Puff Adder”.
