Police arrest armed robbers terrorising Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a syndicate of armed robbers terrorising Bauchi metropolis.

DSP Ahmed Mohammad Wakil, Police Public Relation Officer, Bauchi State Command disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

“On 26/09/2020 at about 0130hrs a syndicate of five (5) persons namely: Endurance Luya, 28, of Gwallameji; Daniel Adamu AKA Small, 20, of Yelwan Tudu; Emmanuel Hassan AKA Junior, 23, of Rafin Zurfi; Aliyu Sulaiman AKA Aljan, 25, of Gwallameji and Yunusa Ali AKA Raka, 19.

The suspects allegedly conspired among themselves and broke into Banana Island lodge Gwallameji entered into the room of one Fukaihat Ayuba Isah, 23, macheted her with cutlass as a result of which she sustain various degree of injures and robbed her some valuables.

On receipt of the report, he said, a team of policemen was drafted to the scene victim was rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi and is currently on admission.

The suspects made away with the following items; a box contained her cloths, Zinox Laptop, Itel mobile phone, Mattress, Gas cylinder, and a purse containing N700.

“Upon preliminary investigation all the suspects were arrested in possession of some of the items mentioned above and all of them confessed to have committed the crime.

Case has been transferred to SCID for discreet investigation, he said, adding that exhibits recovered include: one cutlass with blood stain, one jack knife, one knife, three sanitary pads.

The Commissioner of Police Lawan Tanko Jimeta is determined to ensure that criminals have no hiding place in the State.
