Plot against Emir Sanusi thickens as Ganduje chairs executive meeting

There is confusion in the Kano State House of Assembly over moves to table and consider a report that may lead to the removal of Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II.

This is even as Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje chairs a meeting of the State Executive Council where the fate of the governor is likely to be discussed.

Opposition lawmakers at the state assembly have rejected the move to table the report of the committee which was set up last week to investigate the emir for alleged misconduct. The lawmakers insist that the content of the report must be discussed before any action is taken on it.

However, sensing that the move at the state legislature may stall, the state government may likely consider adopt the report of the Kano State anti graft agency which indicted the emir and remove him based on that.

Those at the state Executive meeting include Kano State Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Secretary to the State Government Alh Usman Alhaji, Head of Service Hajiya Binta Lawan and other cabinet members.
