Ortom inspects rehabilitation of Benue State University Teaching Hospital

Governor Samuel Ortom on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022 undertook inspection of some ongoing projects and renovation of buildings at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, BSUTH, Makurdi.

He was conducted round the hospital premises by the Chief Medical Director of BSUTH, Professor Terrumun Swende.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far and the materials being used by the contractor handling the project, Engr. Stephen Akange.

Governor Ortom stated that providing access to quality healthcare for the wellbeing of the people remains one of the top priorities of his administration.

He then directed the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Joseph Ngbea to expedite action for the provision of safe water for steady supply in all wards of the health facility.

During the inspection, the Governor also visited some accident victims who are on admission in the hospital.

He requested that those whose conditions were critical be transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja with a promise to foot their medical bills.

The Governor also offered financial assistance to other patients in the hospital to take care of their bills and other needs.
