Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has won the state governorship election to secure a fresh term of four years.
According to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress won the election in 15 of the 18 local government areas of the state.
Akeredolu got a total of 292,839, defeating Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who came second with 193,585 votes. Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) got 60,051 votes.
