The Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian, Social, and Cultural Affairs, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, on Thursday, received H.E. Dr. Jos Douma, the Dutch Special Envoy for Religion and Belief.
The two sides underlined the importance of enhancing interfaith dialogue by collaboratively addressing existing challenges.
Other critical issues of concern to the OIC were extensively explored, notably human rights, religion-based discrimination, and Islamophobia.
Ambassador Bakheet and Dr. Douma highlighted the need for sustained engagement by the OIC and the Netherlands through developing result-oriented programs and initiatives on the various issues examined at the meeting.
