Ogun graduates 54 beneficiaries of broiler project

The first 54 beneficiaries of the Ogun Broiler Project graduated today, after having received training and each raised 1,000 broiler chickens per one of their respective three 6-week cycles.

Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun disclosed this Thursday night on his twitter handle.

Making a profit of at most N200,000 per cycle, each beneficiary graduated with a maximum cumulative of N600,000 in profit.

This is not surprising because even as Nigeria’s largest producer of poultry meat, we provided technical & financial support all through the cycles.

This is part of our Administration’s resolve to invest in agriculture & our youth for sustainable job creation, food security & poverty alleviation.

It was our decision during the unprecedented COVID19 lockdown to exempt the Agricultural Sector as part of essential services, & this has resulted in this timetabled graduation of 54 individuals whom we will continue to support as flag-bearers of the success story of this Project

We will replicate this project in all other LGAs, sourcing each batch from our Ogun Job Portal, so that more youths can benefit for our collective good at the macroeconomic level.
