NITDA distributes 100 laptop computers to Borno State govt

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has distributed 100 laptop computers to Borno State Governor Prof Babagana Umara Zulum as part of its intervention towards achieving #DigitalNigeria through e-government implementation.

The computers were presented to the governor by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr Isa Ali Pantami and Director-General of NITDA Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi at the Government House in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The minister said “Digitalization is not about certificates it’s about coming up with crazy ideas and promoting them.”

He said “Certificates are important but certificates without skills are misleading, what is most important is to have certificates with skills. Today many developed nations are agitating to remove the column of educational certificates in curriculum vitae (CV).”

The distribution was witnessed by the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (APC, Borno South).
