A new book has been co-authored by a professor and Director of Centre for Defence Studies and Documentation (CDSD) at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Usman Tar, and a doctoral student at the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, University of Exeter Captain Bashir Bala.\
Titled “Insurgency and Counter-Insurgency in Nigeria: Perspectives on Nigerian Army Operations Against Boko Haram,” the book was published by the CDSD/NDA Press.
“The book examines the Nigerian Army’s CT-COIN operation in the Northeast in terms of strategic, operational and tactical advances. In particular, the volume documents recent exploits of the Nigerian Army in the NE, and offers constructive solutions for campaign planning and execution,” the academy said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
“This is a must read for scholars, strategic leaders, field commanders and defence administrators,” it added.
