He said they expected the Northern Governors to react on the unconstitutional way Southern governors met and chased Fulani out of their states, “but they only reacted on the collection  of Value Added Tax (VAT) and 2023 politics.”

“In Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State alone over 1000 Fulani cows were massacred out of envy and hatred. In all states of the federation Fulani are being killed and persecuted for no reason other than because they are Fulani herders,” he said.

The chairman said they expected the Northern  Governors meeting to talk and address the flight of Fulani but they remained silent “even though Fulani is the mother tongue of many of them.”

He said these dastardly acts ares killing the livestock business in the country, especially at this period when Nigeria is diversifying from oil.

“Today because of hatred, lawlessness, incessant killings of Fulani and their cows, cattle rustling, Fulani have been thrown into abject poverty and Northern governors excluded them in all their empowerment programmes, and business support,” he said.

Hussaini urged the Northern governors to do their best and give back the grazing reserves to herders since it was meant for them since during colonial era.

Hussaini urged the Federal Government “to come out boldly on issues affecting the Fulani, specifically the nomadic herders whose preoccupation is to look for greener pastures for their animals and guarantee their security of lives and poperties since they are also Nigerians and among the people the President swore to protect.

He advised their members  to continue to remain patient and law abiding, adding that as leaders they are committed to fighting for their right through legitimate means.
