Minister pledges support for NEPAD

The Minister of State Foreign Affairs Ambassador Zubairu Dada has promised to give the African Union Development Agency AUDA, otherwise known as New Partnership for African Development, NEPAD all necessary support its requires in discharging its duty.

The Minister made the pledge when he received in his office, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive of AUDA-NEPAD, Princess Gloria Akobundu.

Ambassador Dada who said he was humbled by the visit of the National Coordinator and her team, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to collaborate with the agency to ensure successes.

He therefore gave assurance that he will always make himself available to the agency whenever the need arises.

Earlier, the National Coordinator and Chief Executive of AUDA-NEPAD Princess Gloria Akobundu said she was in the Ministry to seek the support and cooperation of the Minister.

She said the success of the agency is tied down to the cooperation and support it could get from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The National Coordinator therefore expressed optimism that NEPAD will get all that its need from the Ministry especially in relating with international community.

Princess Akobundu said the relationship between the agency and Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been very cordial right from inception.
