Microsoft Director for EMEA is featured guest at Impact Africa’s tailored session

Impact Africa Social Entrepreneurship Summit is excited to announce Microsoft EMEA director, Andy Nagle, as it’s featured guest at the 1st Tailored Session on the 26th of February 2021.

The Tailored Sessions are specifically designed to expose it’s target audience of young African innovators and entrepreneurs to subject matter experts one-on-one. This unique opportunity allows these innovators to speak directly in a no-holds-barred style conversation to tackle issues that directly affect their businesses to equip them with tools and advise that would help them move their businesses to the next level.

Impact Africa Social Entrepreneurship Summit is a partnership between the British Council and Ashoka Africa to accelerate innovative solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges by inspiring, supporting and connecting leading social entrepreneurs and key ecosystem players across countries, organisations and sectors such as policy, social investment, business and media.

The Summit is virtual this year and scheduled to last up to 12 months with regular webinars as well as mentoring/ tailored sessions. A virtual edition presents the opportunity to reach even more young entrepreneurs across Africa and really delve into topics that would have been difficult to cover over a 3-day live event.

The free-to-attend Summit targets young entrepreneurs aged between 18- 45 in predominantly Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. It is nevertheless open to all of Africa.

According to Moses Anibaba, Regional Director British Council, Impact Africa Summit this year is going to be very different. Not only are we responding to the impact of the pandemic, but based on the feedback that we have actually got from the young people and social entrepreneurs, we are making the Summit this year, very much tailor-made to the needs of what these young people have been asking for and the feedback that we have received over the years.

Andy Nagle’s presentation will cover a number of IT related questions pertinent to present day scenarios. He will give a good insight into Artificial Intelligence and how it helps to amplify human ingenuity to not only respond to today’s challenges with resilience but also to forge ahead to reimagine what’s next. He will address question such as how organisations are responding today with AI? Can AI help address some of the world’s biggest challenges such as climate change?

Pape Samb of Diamond Leader of Ashoka Africa believes that Impact!Africa has become more relevant in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem to develop and deliver urgent impactful solutions to support African businesses and communities.

British Council and Ashoka Africa are encouraging all young entrepreneurs and innovators to seriously consider taking advantage of this opportunity to connect one-on-one with Microsoft and ask Andy those questions that directly affect their business.

The Tailored Session will be moderated by Tebogo Mogaleemang, CEO and Founder of Spectrum Analytics, Botswana Ltd.
