First Lady Aisha Buhari has urged the government to listen to the plight of the people and save them.
Though she only shared a video with a song by Kannywood’s Adam Zango with the work #Achechijamaa (meaning save the people), many see it as a tacit support for the ongoing protests against police brutality.
In the video showing service chiefs meeting with the president, Adam Zango’s song was playing in the background where he was urging the government to save the North.
“The North is crying, they are spilling our blood, they are killing our people, they are destroying our property …please come to our aid,” Zango said in the song.
