A Kano based lawyer, Barr. Ma’aruf Yakasai, has withdrawn a suit he filed seeking to stop the Kano State Government from organising a debate between Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara and other ulama in the state.
The lawyer had in February filed a case at Court No. 12 of Gidan Murtala in Kano.
Barr Yakasai, according to his counsel, Barr. Lukman Auwal Abdallah, decided to withdraw the case because the people Kano people had shown keen interest in the debate
