Senate President Ahmad Lawan has assured surveyors in the country of the readiness of the upper chamber to support the profession for more relevance.
Lawan gave the assurance on Wednesday when the League of Surveyors from the Surveyors Council of Nigeria visited him at the National Assembly.
The senate president, who is also a surveyor, promised to do anything that he could to support the practice of the profession.
“Anything that I can do to enhance the practice of surveying profession in Nigeria, I will do
“If it requires that we look into the legislations that will make you more world relevance, your activities and make you more visible, we will do so because we believe you have something to offer the country.
“Legislation is a continuous process. If you don’t need it today, you may possibly need it tomorrow,” Lawan told his guests.
Leader of the delegation, Femi Kasim, said their mission was to remind the Senate President of their forthcoming events which include the induction of the new registered surveyors on 27th February.
