- Buraimoh Tours Ijagbo Waterworks, Ansarudeen Road
The Kwara State Government has again assured the people of the state of government’s readiness to engage in interventions that are set to bring about sustainable economic development and help alleviate poverty in the state.
The Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Kayode Alabi made this assurance during the official opening of the Kayode Oyin-Zubair (KOZ) Intervention Office in Igbaja, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state on Tuesday.

The Deputy Governor asserted that the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration is practising inclusive governance. He added that the government is interested in sharing the dividends of democracy to all Kwarans, including those living in the rural areas.
Represented by the state Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, the Deputy Governor
applauded the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor on Community intervention, Mr. Kayode Oyin-Zubair for his initiative, adding that the project will improve
the lives of the people of Ifelodun Local Government Area.
“Today, we are here to unveil KOZ Intervention Office in Igbaja. I do know that the Kayode Oyin-Zubair Intervention Office is to furnish the have-nots or the impoverished with good news and the instrument to weaken the force of poverty.
This initiative is people-oriented, determined to lift the people from the level of dearth to the improved status of economy.
This is why the operational focus of the Initiative is responding to the people of Ifelodun Local Government Area with intervention in sustainable economic development, deploying various approaches like micro credit, creation of small business ventures and so on.
The scheme can only be appreciated if the beneficiaries make good use of it and let it reflect positively in their lives. This will now become a pride to the organiser and the government,” Alabi said.
The Deputy Governor further called on the people of the Local Government and beneficiaries to support the project , while also announcing that the government will continue in its efforts at exposing the youths to various economic and development projects.
In another development, the Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Abosede Olaitan Buraimoh, together with the Management Staff of the Ministry, went on inspection tour to the Ansarudeen College Road and the Waterworks at Ijagbo.
While inspecting the Ansarudeen College road, the Commissioner urged the construction company to speed up its work and do a quality job, in line with the laid down specifications.
Reacting, the Project Coordinator of the Ansarudeen College Road, Engineer Abdullateef Oyedeji said the project started on 13th of November and gave the assurances that 75 percent of the digging has already been done and that hopefully, the dredging will be done by month end.
Earlier, the team paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Alhaji Salaudeen Olagunju Fagbemi who prayed for more wisdom for the commissioner in steering the affairs of the Ministry.
Hon. Buraimoh also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Eesa of Omu-Aran , Chief Jide Adebayo, a former Commissioner for Information in the then Ministry of Information, Social Welfare, Youth, Sports and Culture.
She described the late Eesa as a true and selfless leader who lived an exemplary life and contributed to the development of Omu-Aran.
While receiving the team, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, HRM, Oba AbdulRaheem Oladele Adeoti, expressed his gratitude and reiterated that Omu-Aran will miss the deceased as he was truly a son of the soil and a genuine lover of the town.
