Kwara gov mourns ex-ODU scribe Lasisi Olorukooba

  • Commiserates with Dr. Solagberu over father’s death

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the Offa people, especially leadership of the Offa Descendants Union (ODU), on the death of their former scribe and retired Permanent Secretary Alhaji Lasisi Olorukooba.

The Governor described the deceased, who was also a former member of the Kwara State College of Education Governing Board, as a thoroughbred technocrat, an administrator and a community leader who left fine footprints in the sand of time.

He specifically commiserated with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport Alhaji Ishaq Olayinka Olorukooba on the passing of his father.

AbdulRazaq also condoled with the Malamai Ubandoma of Ilorin Dr. AbdulKadir Muhammad Jumah Alfa Oba Solagberu on the death of his father and prominent Muslim leader Sheikh Muhammad Jumah Salaudeen (Imam Olodo Abayawo), praying Allah to reward his missionary works with al-jannah Firdaus.

“The Imam Olodo Abayawo was a great Islamic scholar and preacher with significant following across the state. His death is another noticeable hole in the heart of the Muslim community. It is our prayers that Almighty Allah will comfort the families of these great men who contributed a whole lot to their communities and were pathfinders and role models to the younger generations. May God grant them al-jannah Firdaus,” according to a statement on Tuesday.
