The chairman of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr. Katuka Humble has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The incident occurred on Sunday while he was on a bike, going to his farm in Kiduni village in Chikun Local Government.
According to a source, the gunmen opened fire on the motorcycle, killed the rider and took the chairman with them.
“The chairman was kidnapped on his way to the farm yesterday. The farm is located close to Kiduni village in Chikun LGA. A bike man was conveying him to his farm. Bandits shot at them and killed the bike man beforr kidnapping the chairman,” the source said.
Mohammed Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command is not available for comment.
