Gunmen have abducted a businessman and burnt a police vehicle in Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to the BBC, the gunmen reportedly stormed the residence of the businessman isentified as Abdullahi Kalos on Tuesday night and took him away.
This is coming few days after gunmen attacked Falgore community in Rogo Local Government Area of the state and abducted a woman and her two year old son. They also burnt a police vehicle.
A resident of Minjibir said when the about 50 gunmen arrived the area they went from house to house searching before abducting the businessman from his house.
He added that on their way out, they exchanged fire with policemen, even as he noted that they spent hours in the area shooting sporadically.
The Kano State Police Command has not commented on the incident.
